“The face of trouble” Original and fine art prints

Leopard original (1 of 1) and fine art prints (1 of 50)

‘The face of trouble’ by Rigby artist and engraver, Geoffrey Lignon epitomises the fatalistic dilemma with which the leopard regards a confrontation: the desire to avoid a fight if at all possible, since even a simple injury can spell doom. In Geoffrey’s own words: “If it starts a fight, it’s going to the end and that will be nasty.’

Available to purchase as an original or a limited edition A4-sized Giclée fine art print, each piece is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, before being relief stamped with the Rigby logo. As with all Geoffrey’s work he has tried to purvey the African animal in its true form by studying numerous photos.

Geoffrey’s technique for creating this print is unique, using a black board and a white gel pen, with three black pencils to draw the animal, saying it wasn’t a technique he had seen before, but it provided striking results.
